Improved warranty and support as a HPE OEM supplier

With over 25 years in software solutions for logistic challenges, we have seen our fair share of hardware and server solutions. As our systems support critical processes, reliability and performance are key. Equinox MHE has been working with HP for many years now and this turned out to be a perfect fit. To crown this relationship, Equinox has become a HPE OEM partner.

Meeting the required quality, reliability and support for critical systems
As Giedrius Vasiliauskas, IT project manager at Equinox MHE, explains, “These sorting systems are at the heart of the customer’s production process. Everything is dependent on the sorter, and so it must perform reliably. We put our trust in HPE technology because of the quality and reliability.”

Equinox MHE runs its controller software on HPE technology, leveraging the HPE OEM program to acquire HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Servers and HPE MSA Storage systems, often clustered for high availability using Aruba network switches.

Denny van Veen, marketeer for Equinox MHE, says, ”These are mission-critical systems, so the faster they are back up and running, the happier our customers are. With an eye to the future, Equinox MHE is continually innovating to strengthen its competitive position. The HPE OEM program provides insight into the HPE product road map, which helps the company find opportunities to develop more advanced technology-driven solutions, and deliver more value to its customers.”

Strategic fit
The following years, Equinox MHE is looking to expand its market reach across Europe into the Americas and beyond. First steps have been taken by partnering with SNS, whom will act as a distributor of Equinox systems in North-America.

Vasiliauskas adds, “We are an international player with systems in many countries. The HPE OEM channel provides a unified way of dealing with HPE through a dedicated OEM contact person with a global HPE support team. That helps us respond to our customers wherever they are in the world.”

In fact, van Veen points out that global support from HPE will only grow in importance. “In the next five years, we want to expand worldwide, so support quality and responsiveness will be increasingly important. Through HPE, the time to have technicians on-site is greatly reduced because they have people around the world.
